Named: Ysyry (Guaraní for “river”).

Mix: same 2:1:1 ratio as Golden Pothos.

• Pothos mix – 2 parts
• Pine bark 5-15mm – 1 part
• Pumice 3-7mm – 1 part

Top-dressed with pine bark. Perlite visible in the mix is from the bagged Pothos mix itself, not added separately.

Done: potted into a 9cm plastic nursery pot, watered thoroughly to settle the soil.

Setup: nursery pot sits inside a green ceramic cachepot (IKEA).

Roots now long and well developed, catching up to the pothos. Nearly ready to move to soil.

Secondary roots emerging on a couple of the main roots – small lateral buds visible partway down their length, no branching out yet. Main roots tan/cream colored, several strands extending well down into the jar.

Roots on the upper node cluster growing long and fast, thin and unbranched so far. Finer than the pothos roots at the same stage. Watch for side branching as they lengthen.

Rooting from the submerged node, roots shorter and finer than the pothos but clearly extending. Stem firm, no soft spots at the cut end. Still behind the pothos in root mass but on track.
